Our Process

FabriKate manages and coordinates the execution and delivery of products and services from the initial measure through installation to ensure the best customer experience and the highest quality control. Relationship building is one of our favorite things and we have many clients that we have been working with for well over a decade. Repeat business along with referrals have kept us from advertising for a very long time and we are extremely proud of that.

Individuals

Depending on the scope of your project, most frequently we will come to you for an in-home consultation (may be subject to a trip charge) to measure and discuss your needs and your vision. We will discuss aethestics and design, functionality, lead times, set expectations and answer your questions. FabriKate will provide you with an estimate that includes labor, fabric, lining, hardware, etc… Once all the details and pricing are established and you are ready to move forward with your project, you will provide us with a deposit that covers 50% of the labor and 100% of all materials including manufactured shades, fabric, hardware, etc… Upon installation, we will collect the balance of the labor along with shipping and installation charges that are not known up front.

For fully custom work we have the flexibility of working with your fabrics (subject to approval for suitability) or sourcing fabrics for you. FabriKate has trade accounts with myriad textile manufacturers including Kravet, Schumacher, Pierre Frey, Holly Hunt, Thibault, Holland and Sherry, Cowtan & Tout and so many more. We love fabric! We also carry many lines of beautiful drapery hardware with something for every possible style and application. We exclusively stock and use our own drapery linings and interlinings but can special order anything that you might need for your project that we do not stock.

For those interested in manufactured shades and drapery, we will come to your consultation with sample books and everything needed to make selection process as easeful and straightforward as possible.

For smaller projects such as pillows, small upholstery, retrofitting manufactured curtains and other projects that don’t require a consultation, an appointment can be made to pay a visit to us in our workroom, centrally located off 3rd Ave and Colorado Blvd.

Lead times can vary depending on the desired products. 6-10 weeks for custom window coverings, bedding or table linens with sourced fabric and hardware where shipping and installation are required. Manufactured shades 3-5 weeks depending upon the product (Hartmann and Forbes lead times for handwoven shades are 12+ weeks). Pillows and cushions 3-6 weeks depending upon fabric availability. Rushes are sometimes available but subject to a 50% upcharge for labor.

We love our designers here at fabriKate, some of whom we’ve been working with for close to 15 years! If we may be so bold, FabriKate is quite possibly your dream workroom. We have exceptional attention to detail and are deeply invested in our finished products. If anything looks even the slightest bit off you will get a phone call, some pictures and recommendations when relevant. We have been doing this for a while and we’re pretty good at it! While we do not offer to the trade discounts on labor, we do offer them on many of the manufactured products that we sell. We also coordinate and are present for all of your installations, especially when you can not be present. We are an organization you can trust to make sure that projects are completed as agreed upon and you can trust to take excellent care of your clients. Don’t have time to source fabrics because your busy creating those gorgeous new kitchens or doing whole house renovations? We have your back and can pull fabrics that work with your clients budgets and perform well in the workroom and for years to come. We also know how to use a lockbox and are very pet friendly!

Not in Denver? We got you! FabriKate has successfully worked with out-of-state designers many times and we’ve even had a big name or two use our services over the years. We would love to be your in-town, go-to source for executing projects in Denver or the Rocky Mountains!
